How do I verify my account?

Verification keeps fake accounts out and unlocks the features of the site.

1. Confirm your e‑mail

After registering you’ll get a confirmation e‑mail; click the link in it. You can’t log in until your e‑mail is confirmed. If the e‑mail didn’t arrive, type your address into the Email field on the login page and click “Resend confirmation”.

2. Verify your phone number

1. Open your Account page (click your username in the top right, then “Account”).
2. In the “Phone Verification” card, click “Verify Now”.
3. Click “Send verification code”, enter the 6‑digit code from the SMS and click “Verify Code”.

A verified phone number is required to post listings and to start conversations with other users.

3. Set up secure payments (sellers)

To get paid for orders, go to your Account page and click “Set Up Now” in the “Enable Secure Payments” card. You’ll complete Stripe’s onboarding, where Stripe asks for your identity and bank details. Once Stripe approves you, a checkmark badge – “Verified seller with buyer protection” – appears next to your name.
